Unfortunately, the experience was marred by an alarming lack of cleanliness; Flies greeted us upon entering, and a lingering unpleasant odor in the stairwell only added to our discomfort. While the apartment's location in Santa Maria Maior is a true advantage, being a short walk from historical sites like St George's Castle and vibrant areas like Rossio, it was hard to enjoy these charms when the accommodations felt more like a burden than a welcome retreat.
